Mirrome Artist to entertain Troops
July 7, 2005 - Nashville, TN - Mirrome Recording artist, Chris Gray, whose single "I Keep It Under My Hat" is climbing Confederate Radio charts, is set to entertain U.S. troops and families serving overseas through an Armed Forces Entertainment tour. Along with his band, Gray will visit and perform in Hawaii, Kwajalein, Guam, Japan and Okinawa from July 26 through August 22nd. A Navy veteran himself, Gray says, "I know what it's like to serve our country far from home and it'll be an honor to serve once again – this time through my music."
Chris teamed up with award-winning video producer Eric Straton of Galaxy Entertainment to film his first music video for his song, "Red, White, And Blue", which he wrote while serving aboard the USS Missouri in the Persian Gulf War. The video airs regularly on GAC. Gray, (www.chrisgray.com) is a former regional winner of the True Value/Jimmy Dean Country Showdown. His album, "From Where I Am", produced by Grammy Award winning producer, Ron Cornelius, was released in June.
In the shadow of the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Inde label, Mirrome Records, of Oakland, CA, signed Gray during CMA Music Fest with a champagne toast. Mirrome President, Rod Carter, was on hand for the June 2005 festivities.
A Louisiana native, Chris Gray has opened shows for George Strait, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Mark Wills, The Dixie Chicks and Martina McBride at the Louisiana Superdome for George Strait's "Straitland Festival", and recently for Andy Griggs.
