2007 CRS Attendees Meet Mirrome Rising Stars

- February 14, 2007 - Nashville, TN - Claire Ratliff of Laughing Penguin Publicity is currently booking interviews for two of Mirrome Records talented singer/songwriters, Miko Marks and Chris Gray.

Chris Gray is set to release his 3rd album, It's All About Me, this month. His previous album, From Where I Am, featured the singles, "Something I Want", "I Keep It Under My Hat " and "Not Bad for a Good Ol' Boy". Gray's video, "Red, White and Blue" is still a national holiday staple. The song was written during Gray's naval service. Along with his band, this Louisiana native has done two Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) tours, most recently to Kuwait, Bahrain and several countries in the UAE.

Miko Marks is fresh off a string of wins. Indie World named Miko the "Female Vocalist of the Year". A red carpet event at the historic Avalon Theater in Los Angeles marked Miko's win as "Best New Country Artist for 2006" from New Music Weekly Magazine, and Miko's debut album, Freeway Bound was named "Country Album of the Year" in the Independent Music Awards. Miko is the first African American woman to receive honors for achievement in Country Music. Her latest release, "Don't Come Cryin' To Me" was released to radio in January. She recently tried her hand at modeling, appearing in an ad for fine jeweler, Varna, of Los Angeles. The ad will appear in national bridal magazines. Her video for the single, "Mama " included an appearance by her friend, R & B singer, Erykah Badu.

Both Miko Marks and Chris Gray will be showcasing at CRS38. Let Claire know if you'd like to spend some time with Miko or Chris during the event. Call Claire at 615.476.3200 or by email at
