Mirrome Artist Saddles Up for Local Show

- August 12, 2005 - Mirrome Recording artist Miko Marks is set to entertain at the Adam's County Fairgrounds as part of the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo, America's only touring black rodeo. Marks will perform shows at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 20 and again at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 20.

"Freeway Bound" is both the album name and the first single from the singer/songwriter. The single is climbing Confederate Radio charts and the album will be in stores soon.

Miko, (www.mikomarks.com) grew up in Flint, Michigan and was educated at Grambling State University in Louisiana before moving to California. Her songs are honest and personal with intimate lyrics supported by stirring melodies. With a voice clear and powerful, at once tender and the next minute gutsy and in-your-face, Marks offers up her music as a testament to emotion and experiences we all share.

2005 marks the 21st year of the Bill Pickett Invitation Rodeo, named for legendary black rodeo star William "Bill" Pickett. Six states and Washington DC are part of the schedule.
