Nashville, TN - June 11, 2005 - In the shadow of the historic Ryman Auditorium, Indie label, Mirrome Records, of Oakland, CA, signed a shining new act - right at the corner of 5th and Broadway in downtown Nashville. Mirrome President, Rod Carter, was on hand for the festivities, which included a champagne toast. Fans joined in the excitement as singer/songwriter Miko Marks joined the Mirrome family. The signing took place in front of a throng of excited fans in town for the annual CMA MusicFest, formerly known as "Fan Fair".

Miko, ( whose single, "Freeway Bound" from the album of the same name is set for June release, began to define her passion as a singer/songwriter growing up in Flint, Michigan, the industrial heartland of the country. Her songs are honest and life-affirming with personal, intimate lyrics supported by stirring melodies.

"Freeway Bound", Marks' debut album was recorded in Nashville with legendary producer, Ron Cornelius, and will be available in stores and on this month.
